Hillside  is a traditional stone-built cottage offering B&B in a quiet village a short drive from the picturesque market towns of Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Northleach, and Cirencester.  It is well-situated for exploring the North Cotswolds or for visiting the attractive spa town of Cheltenham, venue for popular events throughout the year, including the National Hunt Festival (including the Gold Cup) at the famous racecourse in March, and the Jazz, Science, Music and Literature Festivals later in the year.

The village of Hazleton is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with unspoilt countryside waiting to be explored.  There are several circular walks of varying lengths around the village, and a footpath leads across the fields to an excellent pub/restaurant about a mile away.  Other country inns offering a high standard of cooking can be found in the neighbouring villages, while Cheltenham has many popular restaurants and bars.

Nearby attractions include the Roman villa at Yanworth,  Sudeley Castle, the Cotswold Wildlife Park and the Cotswold Way long distance path.  Farmers’ markets, food and drink fairs, and craft and antique marts are held regularly in Cirencester, just 20 minutes’ drive away.
